1. Remove the case of your iPhone

If you use a case to protect your iPhone, you need to remove it first before moving to the software troubleshooting process. Sometimes the case covers the holes of speakers and is the reason for no sound issue on your iPhone. Try it out, if it doesn't solve the problem, move to the next fix.

2. Turn on the ring mode

On your iPhone's left side, you will see the ring/silent button. If the orange line is visible to you, that means silent mode is enabled. Try enabling the ring mode to see if it fixes the sound problem for you.

3. Enhance the volume

If you have locked your iPhone, you won't be able to turn up the volume. You need to unlock it and then enhance the device volume accordingly. After unlocking your iPhone, launch any app with any music or sound effect, and press the volume up button for increasing the sound of your iOS device. You can also adjust the volume through the volume slider, just in case, if the button doesn't work for you.

4. Try Ringer and Alerts feature

The Ringer and Alerts feature is a must-try as well. To access it, visit Settings, and then Sounds. Move the volume slider available on the Ringer and Alerts section to the fullest. Your device might start functioning as usual with this fix.

5. Turn off Bluetooth

If you still can't hear any sound from your iPhone, ensure that your phone is not connected with the Bluetooth device. Try disabling Bluetooth as it is possible that you might have forgotten to turn off Bluetooth after connecting it to another device. For disabling Bluetooth on your iPhone, go to Settings, then Bluetooth. You can even disable by swiping up, opening the Control center, and tapping the dedicated Bluetooth icon.

6. Use the earphone trick

Many users have fixed the sound issues with the use of earphone trick. You need to try this trick by plugging your earphones in and out. Keep repeating the process a few times to check if it works for you.

7. Restart your iOS device

You can also fix the no sound issue by simply restarting your iPhone. Press the sleep/wake button as well as the Home button simultaneously for a while. You will soon see the logo of Apple on your screen, and your device will be rebooted. All the existing cache and glitches are eliminated from your iPhone memory, and different types of issue are fixed in this way.

8. Clean the jack of your headphone

If you are listening through headphones, it is possible that the jack is dirty and dusty. In that case, try cleaning the headphone jack with the use of a dust blower or anything else. But you need to make sure that you don't use a hairdryer as it can damage several parts of your iOS device. It is recommended not to use any liquid as well.

9. Clean charging port and speaker holes also

When dust or dirt is there on the speaker holes, the sound doesn't come out because of that. You can, again, use the dust blower for getting the dust out of the charging port and holes of speakers. A clean and dry toothbrush or toothpick will work perfectly too.

10. Get the latest iOS version

Software glitches are also the reason for various problems on devices these days. On that note, you need to make sure that you have the latest iOS version on your iPhone. Follow these steps to update your iOS device and fix the sound problem quickly:
  • Make sure that your phone is fully charged and have an active internet/Wi-Fi connection, first.
  • Then, visit Settings, then General, and then Software Update.
  • Tap the Install Now option to get the latest iOS version.

11. Wipe out all the existing settings

Use the Reset All Settings to wipe out the current settings. You need to worry not as you get the option to make changes accordingly again, after resettings. Open  Settings, then tap on General, then choose Reset. From the Reset screen, select Reset All Settings and keep following the screen instructions.

Hence, these are the best fixes that you can try to solve the sound issue on your iPhone!
